OMAHA, NEBRASKA

Today we walked around the Old Market, an interesting area in downtown Omaha, starting right across from our hotel room.  It’s pretty neat with shops, restaurants and loft apartments…a nice little town feel in the middle of a very large city.

We found the nicest little ice cream shop that sold homemade Italian sweets and the owner was the sweetest lady (retired nurse).  She suggested we walk the pedestrian bridge to Iowa. We did !

After this afternoon’s walk, we treated ourselves to a couple good Omaha steaks at Upstream Brewing Company.

And we also shopped at this store and got a Christmas present for each other here.
