Kā'anapali, Maui, February 10, 2022

Today we drove the road to Hāna again, this time all the way to the end, and beyond to the seven sacred pools.  Driving it in the truck was a little tough, the "beyond" portion of the road was extremely narrow and full of single lane stretches with one side against the volcano and the other side straight down the cliff.  I was wishing that I was driving something a little smaller than the extended cab truck.  Turned out OK, we made it there and back.

We stopped at the Wai'ānapanapa State Park, known for it's black sand beach, a natural lava sea bridge, and a number ancient burial sites.  We saw them all.

Haleakalā National Park, 'Ohe'o Gulch which is also known as the seven sacred pools.  I had hoped that I would be able to swim in some of the pools, but the park service has temporarily closed them for swimming.  Even without the swimming this was an impressive place to visit.
