After we landed from our helicopter excursion, we toured our way through the coastal town of Hilo. First, we found their farmers market, bought some onions and some apple bananas.
We learned to love these in Costa Rica
We stopped in at a family owned ukulele shop and learned a bit more about this instrument from the son of a ukulele maker.
Now we were getting hungry so Carl found just what we needed…
We walked around some more and wanted to visit the Tsunami Museum but it is closed. I thought this would be a town that knew their subject well…but Covid will leave it for another day…month…year.
