 Destination: Albuquerque, NM

This morning was one of our planned adventures - soaring in a glider over Moriarty, near Albuquerque.  Carl and the pilot talked me into going first…so I did.  I’ve always wondered what it would feel like to float around on air like birds do.  Now I know and it was a real thrill.  Our pilot, Rick, has been soaring since 1980 and had a very reassuring manner about him so, once again, I put my life into somebody else’s hands.

Up in the air…about 3,000 feet

One thing I appreciated about this sport was that you didn’t have to be taught how to fall.  I guess there is nothing to it!
